Free Sale Valuations
Our specialists are happy to provide saleroom estimates for any item brought to one of our valuation days. This service is free and there is no obligation to sell.

When items are too bulky, or numerous, to bring to our Lymington Saleroom or Wimborne Office, just send us some images (email@example.com). If appropriate, we can also arrange a home visit and collection.
Before the Sale
A Pre-sale advice will be sent to you before each sale. This details your lots and any reserve prices. If it is a Specialised Sale, you will also receive a catalogue.
Catalogues for all sales are available on the internet as well as in printed form. In the case of Specialised Sales, the internet catalogue inlcudes images of every lot and live online bidding is available through Easy Live Auction. You are, of course, welcome to attend the sale or, when available, you may wish to follow it online.
After the Sale
Post-Sale advices are sent immediately after the sale. These contain results and recommendations for any unsold lots. Settlement is normally made within 30 days of the sale.
Vendors are charged commission per lot as follows:
10% (+ VAT) where lots sell for a hammer price of £1,500 or more
15% (+ VAT) where lots sell for a hammer price below £1,500
There is a minimum commission charge of £25 (+ VAT) per sale (not per lot).
There is a minimum charge of £15 (+ VAT) per lot for Furniture lots.
Insurance is charged at 1.5% (+ VAT) of the hammer price. There is a minimum charge of £1.50 (+ VAT) per lot.
For illustrations in the catalogue and on our website, charges will be on a sliding scale but will never exceed 5% (+ VAT) of the hammer price or £50 (+ VAT) per lot. There will normally be no charge for lots that fail to sell, provided that any reserve price has been agreed with us before the sale.
